PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Artaxerxes I to Xerxes II, circa 455-420 BC. Siglos (Silver, 17 mm, 5.52 g), Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes or subsidiary mint. Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance to right, holding dagger in his right hand and bow in his left. Rev. Rectangular incuse punch. BMC Arabia pl. XXVI, 10. Carradice Type IV A. Slightly granular and with a minor flan fault and a faint scratch on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
